Christmas Memories and fun and games in 2019!

We ended 2018 with fun and great hilarity. The members and volunteers were treated to a wonderful Christmas lunch and a lively ‘ho ho ho’ from the ‘Gentleman in the red suit’. The amazing Suzanne from Dementia Support East Sussex, got everyone in the festive spirit through songs, activities and dancing and of course who couldn’t help but be delighted to wear one of her fabulous headbands!

Our wonderful members had a great time, entering into the spirit of Christmas, joining in with the Variety Club choir who came to sing for us in the afternoon and loving the Christmas cake with their cup of tea.

We have had many changes to both clubs over the year with many new faces being embraced into the TN22 ‘family’, including those participating in a new initiative to help reduce isolation in rural areas like ours – The Travelling Tea Trays. Groups meet in Hadlow Down and surrounding villages for a cup of coffee or tea and a chat, laughter and company. Just before Christmas, Lindsey Waddington held a tea party at her house and Father Christmas paid a visit with his helper. This group had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed mince pies, cakes and biscuits and of course a cup of tea.

A huge thank you to Wendy Coleman and Suzanne Hammond for all their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the year.

A very happy and peaceful New Year to all our members and we look forward to seeing you all very soon for fun and games in 2019.
